New Beta Release

Mar 12, 2008 by Bill Dudney

Well on the way to being done a new beta of the book has just been pushed. Everyone who has bought the book (thanks, BTW!) you can grab an updated copy on your account page here. For everyone else you can grab a copy here.

I'm hard at work on the last chapter covering what is different in the newly announced SDK and the existing CA stuff on Leopard. Can't say more but you should check out the announcement.

Comments:

I've been out of town for a week, but I'm sure you've seen the news of lots-o-interest in the iPhone SDK.

if we buy the beta pdf do we get a hard copy when its out?

Hi Aaron,

As I understand it to participate in the beta program you have to buy the PDF. If however you want both (the PDF and the Hardcopy) you can do that at a significant discount from buying both separately and then the Hardcopy will be mailed when its published.

Thanks for your interest!

Hi Aaron,

Here is the text of the offer from the books site.

This title is currently available in Beta. Buy it now, and you'll be able to download successive releases of the PDF as the authors add material and correct mistakes. You'll get the final PDF when the book is finished.

If you buy the combo pack (Beta PDF + Paper Book) now, you'll get the Beta PDF now and the paper book when it's released on or about July 01, 2008.

Thanks again for your interest.
