Thoughts from a NeXTStep Guy on Cocoa Development

What a Ride

Nov 16, 2008 by Bill Dudney

The last 5 weeks have been a blur. Essentially since the NDA was lifted I've been heads down getting caught up on all the stuff I had put aside in the gloomy days when it looked like the NDA would never lift.

Since the lift, we've pushed 5 betas of the iPhone SDK book, completed and delivered the first iPhone Studio, answered nearly countless (234 at last count) questions in the book and screencast forums, posted nearly 300 tweets, and generally ignored my family and friends. Sorry! I will try not to do it again :)

Now that I'm finished with the big push I'm finally getting back to normal life, I'm really glad to get to hang out with my family again. I should also start posting regular updates here. Looking forward to getting back into the conversation!

Hey Bill!

Great to see you have had productive weeks, but yeah I have missed the blog updates.

It's unbelievable how much stuff has been done by yourself and the other authors of the iPhone SDK book. Your screencasts are absolutely fantastic and the book is probably going to become the #1 resource for iPhone development.

It's important to enjoy some family time and relax a bit too.

Hopefully this means we'll get more blog updates and development goodness :)

Take care!
