happy 14th birthday, andrew!
My baby is 14! and starting HIGH SCHOOL all in the same week. Very crazy. He has had a great birthday so, far. It actually started yesterday at 3:15 with Lego League (FLL). Then, 5 of the boys in FLL stayed for:
*dinner,
*outside *sword/weapon/light sabor time,
*cake and ice cream,
*movie night,
*Wii time,
and then finally SLEEP!
After a quick nights sleep (yeah for the Carriage House!), they woke for:
*more Wii time,
*breakfast,
*a quick run to do the trash (a job Andrew and Isaac have for the summer),
*a quick run to Starbucks (with Andrew, while everyone else set up the present hunt),
*back home,
*present hunt,
*play with the Wii games he got for gifts,
*then off to the pool for 2 hours of swimming and snacks.
Yes, it was fun... 21 hours of fun. :) And yes, I am a little tired.
The kids were all great, and my friend graciously hosted us at a local resort pool, which was VERY nice.
I was hoping for a relaxing afternoon, but the phone rang. Hmmm... SHOWING! in 3 hours! So much for relaxing. It's overrated anyway. :)
Well, 3 hours is plenty of time to get my house back into tip top shape. The kids are a big help. After a year of showing the house, they all know what to do. Then, I checked my phone after making the bottom floor spotless, and I missed a call. Oops. Another SHOWING! This time in 5 minutes! I have not really sat down, but 2 showings is great. The upstairs isn't spotless, but my closet is a great place to throw lots of things. :)
We are home for another half hour before we leave for showing number 2. This one will be easy. We are going out for dinner for Andrew's birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANDREW! We love you!

Man, I'm tired just from reading all that! First of all, happy birthday Andrew! Sounds like lots of fun and yes, I bet the carriage house is a nice thing to have when you have lots of teenagers over!
Secondly, I was wondering if your house was still on the market, so I guess that's a yes. Good luck!! I'm not sure how you keep a house showable with lots of kids!

Whew. What a day! Happy Birthday Andrew. Bryson is wondering how tall he will be next time we see him and he said this as he put both hands on his cheeks and held his mouth open in amazement. :)
