"i can reach out and touch it!"
Our local theater just upgraded to 3d, just in time for the Toy Story 1 & 2 double feature release this weekend. Even though we've seen the movies a thousand times, we saw them again... this time with fun glasses. Jacob was so cute about the glasses and the movie being in 3-d. He kept saying, "The letters are coming to me. I can touch them!" All the kids enjoyed it. Andrew and Isaac LOVE the details of all the computer generated movies. Since they don't remember ever seeing these movies in the theater, they were fascinated with everything they could see since it was bigger and in higher resolution than our 15 year old TV. Toy Story was the first movie Andrew ever "saw" at a theater, but he was only 4 months old.
It was a fun family evening and I'm glad we went. It's been a long time since I've actually WATCHED these movies. The dialog is quite familiar, but the scenes are not.
We are thinking about going to this double feature as well. You said the scenes are not the same? Are they different versions of the movie or is it just better quality versions?

It was cute, wasn't it? Chase screamed out loud a few times. That was his first movie to sit all the way through, and that we've paid full price for. He's only been to the $1 summer movies before this, and couldn't sit through the whole thing....but he LOVES Toy Story!
