lots of hardware

Today Isaac got his first round of orthodontics work done and came home with a mouth full of hardware. He has so much metal in his mouth, he can't chew and is having a hard time swallowing and talking. He is supposed to get used to it soon, though. The good thing is he's not in any pain. I have a feeling that it is not doing anything if he doesn't have any pain. I get to turn a screw to stretch his mouth every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so there isn't much time without doing something. Maybe at some point he'll feel it working... not that I want him to be in pain, but I do want to see some changes.

A palatal expander?? I had one of those - can't wait to see the pictures of the gap in his teeth! :) I don't remember it hurting as much as a weird itchy feeling deep inside.
