my 40th birthday
Yesterday I turned 40. I woke to a cheerful 3 year old boy proclaiming "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY" very loudly. He and all the kids are so cute about birthdays. They LOVE their birthdays and love to make others feel special just like they like to feel on their birthday.
I even got a 6 gun salute...
... and 6 clues for my surprise trip.
Before breakfast the children stood in a line each holding one piece of paper with hand drawn pictures on both sides. The pictures were clues for my surprise birthday trip this Friday. I had to choose from a "Parka" or a "Pretty Dress", from a "GPS" or a "Passport", from "Water shoes" or a "Backpack"... So we are going some place WARM, needing a BATHING SUIT, a PRETTY DRESS, a PASSPORT, CAMERA, and WATER SHOES. Another clue I have is that it is LONG FLIGHT. That's it. I need to pack in the next day or so.
For my birthday, my mom, Isabel, Anna and Sophia went shopping all day! I bought some fun outfits for our trip.
Gifts from the girls...
Bill's mom is arriving soon to watch the kids for 11 days! Thank you so much, Betty! The kids are looking forward to Camp Grandma Buddy.
