new doctor

We found a wonderful doctor that comes to your house and does not deal with insurance at all. We love that! It means that the doctor will deal with what is best for the patient and not defensive medicine.

Last week when we were trying to get Isaac treated, this doctor was out of town, but he is back and now we have had our initial visit. He met the whole family and got our information. He was very thorough and personable. Andrew and Anna are now sick, but Anna is on the mend. Andrew is hopefully at the peak and will be turning the corner tomorrow. 4 down, hopefully no more to go.

In any case, we are hopefully going to be over this illness soon, but it is great to have a doctor that knows and treats the family as a whole, rather than one at a time.

UPDATE: The doctor is not convinced it is strep or only strep because it is spreading so quickly. He said it is contagious, but washing your hands should be able to keep it from spreading. At this point we have only had antibiotics for Sophia, and the others are following the same pattern of getting well without antibiotics. We are still watching them. Andrew broke out in a rash all over his trunk and up his neck and head. That could be strep or it could be viral. We don't know.

Wow! That is really cool! So does everyone who's sick have strep? Crazy that it spread like that. Stay well!

I broke out in a purple rash once from having strep that went untreated for a few days. It leads to Scarlet Fever, and a purple rash is a sign of that. I was REALLY sick and couldn't even lift my legs, so surely that's not the case with him. But you can read more about it here.

Man, hope y'all all get well soon!!
