We have the privilege of living in a small town in the mountains with a music festival. We have the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) based here in Breckenridge, CO, and the director happens to live right next store, and his wife is our piano teacher.

The Breckenridge Music Festival season started last week, and the weekly children's programs began today with an afternoon performance of storybook selections including "William Tell Overture", "Peter and the Wolf" and "Sorcerer's Apprentice". It was great to see the hall full of local children, and we really enjoyed the performance.

The NRO plays at the River Walk Center located right on the Blue River. It is a beautiful location in downtown Breckenridge.

They had an "instrument petting zoo" following the performance, where the children got to play a trombone and a violin. Sophia loved the violin.
