purging
Since we can't make our house any bigger, and it doesn't look like we're moving any time soon, we have to get rid of as much "stuff" as possible (and hopefully not buy any more to replace it!). This has become a way of life the last 6+ years we have lived here.
Last weekend, we worked in the boys room to give them desks and more shelves for Lego's, and this weekends' task is an art area in the girls room. We dumped out every drawer, switched around furniture, and threw away a large trash bag of trash. I have more organizing to do for their craft/art supplies and I have a few more things to buy, but we have made good progress.
Purging feels so good.
I heart purging. I have a friend who has a yard sale "business" where she collects people's junk then tries to sell it to fund a family vacation each year. She lives across the street from me so I am one of her best donors.
The down side is, when she has her yard sales J. always makes his way over there and buys something. Grrr. :)
