sunshine and showing
Today begins a stretch of sunny fall weather here in Breck. We have had a fairly cold and drab summer, except for a few precious weeks of sunshine. This is unusual, but rain is so good for our "beetle kill" laden forests which are such a fire hazard. With our late August dry spell, the fire danger got up to "Very High" up until just a few days ago, when it dropped back down to "Moderate" from all the thunder storms.
Last night as I was sitting in my red chair recovering from co-op, I commented on how much I need to clean my house, but have no desire or energy to do so. I checked my e-mail to find that we had a showing today.
Well... that's motivation enough. I got up at 9:15 pm last night and put my laundry away, cleaned off all the surfaces upstairs, and cleaned my bathroom. Today while attempting to get some school done with the kids, and enjoying the beautiful blue skies, I cleaned the rest of the house, and, boy, did it need it. I feel so much better with a clean house. I am thankful for showings even if they don't buy the house (but I would love it if they did).
So, between sunshine and a showing, I got my house clean!
That's exactly how I feel - except i don't have my house on the market. Sometimes I just want to invite someone over so I will have motivation to clean the boys bathroom!! Someone stopping by always seems to do the trick.
